Karmix Cottage – Guest Information

If you wish to enter the greenhouse or duck area, please request a guide and we would be happy to introduce you to the ducks and plants.

There are several honeybee hives on the property and bee demonstrations are available on request (seasonal). Honeybees are not aggressive and will not bother you while eating outside (wasps are another story). Please enjoy watching our pollinators at work – they won’t bug you unless you bug them.

Pinot, the Karmix mascot is a very friendly Aussie Doodle who would love to meet you and your pups. Please let us know if you would like an introduction/play date.

Karmix Cottage draws its water from a well. Water is passed through a purification system before entering the house. There may be some colour, smell and taste to the water but it is perfectly safe to drink.

Waste water in the Cottage flows into a septic system. Please take care to only flush what comes from your body and toilet paper down the toilets and avoid putting oil/grease, dairy products and coffee grounds down the sinks. A green waste bin has been provided for these items. When in doubt, please put it in the garbage.

Please do not pick fruit or vegetables. We would be happy to share with our guests when it is ripe.
